The Brazos Valley Chorale, a community choir whose members run from recent graduates to retirees, opens its 2026-27 season Saturday, Oct. 10, with a 5 p.m. concert titled "Roots and Radiance" at First Presbyterian Church in Bryan, 1100 Carter Creek Parkway.

The program follows choral music from the early Renaissance to modern works, KBTX reported. Director Tom Garber has been rehearsing the program with the choir since summer.

Admission is pay-what-you-can with a $5 minimum and a $20 suggested amount, according to the chorale's ticket page at bvchorale.org/roots. Children under 6 get in free and do not need a ticket. KBTX reported that tickets will also be sold at the door.

The chorale's website notes two other concerts the same weekend: a Friends of Chamber Music program at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, and a Concerts on Carter Creek performance at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11.
