Texas A&M’s six-match volleyball winning streak ended Wednesday in Norman, where Oklahoma came back from a 2–1 deficit to beat the No. 12 Aggies in five sets.

A&M won the opening set 25–17 and the third 25–20, but could not finish the road match. Oklahoma took the second 25–20, the fourth 25–23 and the deciding fifth 15–11 at McCasland Field House on Oct. 7.

The Aggies still had an opening late. Trailing 8–4 in the fifth, they used a 5–1 run to draw even at nine before Oklahoma pulled away, according to A&M’s official recap.

The loss was the College Station program’s first in Southeastern Conference play this season. A&M slipped to 10–6 overall and 3–1 in the SEC; Oklahoma moved to 9–4 and 2–2.

A&M recorded seven service aces, matching its second-highest total of the season. Those chances helped keep the match competitive but were not enough to close out the final two sets.
