Texas A&M edge rusher Anto Saka has been named to The Athletic's 2026 "Freaks List," the annual survey of college football's most extraordinary athletes compiled by Bruce Feldman, the school announced Monday.

Feldman described Saka as "the freakiest of a very gifted D-line room," according to Texas A&M's athletics department.

Who he is

Saka is listed at 6-foot-4 and 255 pounds, wearing No. 14. He is a graduate student from Baltimore who came to College Station from Northwestern.

He is not the only transfer in that defensive line group. Sam M'Pemba, listed at 6-3 and 257 pounds, arrived from Georgia and is a redshirt junior.

Feldman's phrasing placed Saka within that group rather than on his own, describing him as the freakiest of the room rather than simply as a freak athlete.

What the list is

The Freaks List is Feldman's yearly roundup of the most remarkable athletic testing numbers in college football, drawn from what strength coaches and programs report. It is a measure of raw physical ability rather than production, which is why players appear on it before they have played a snap for their new team.

Texas A&M did not say where Saka ranked on the list.

The timing

The list published Monday, with the Aggies in the middle of Fall Camp.

Texas A&M opens the season Sept. 5 at Kyle Field.
