College Station residents have two ways next week to weigh in on the city’s effort to apply Middle Housing zoning in areas designated for mixed residential use.

A virtual session is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 19, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. CDT. An in-person meeting follows Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. CDT in the Bush 4141 Community Room at City Hall, 1101 Texas Avenue.

The city’s Middle Housing webpage provides the online meeting link and a project hub where residents can learn more and submit input.

The district accommodates a wider range of homes, including smaller-lot houses, townhouses, duplexes and multiplexes. The city says additional height, buffering and parking standards apply to larger residential building types and edges adjoining neighborhood-conservation areas.

These are input meetings about a city-initiated rezoning effort. The announcement does not mean that every property under discussion has already been rezoned.
