The Houston Dynamo left Snapdragon Stadium on Wednesday with a 3-3 draw, a result that felt like two points dropped after the Dynamo had led San Diego FC from the 37th minute until the 86th.

San Diego opened a 2-0 lead with two goals in three minutes. Anders Dreyer scored on a penalty in the 20th minute, and Cédric Bakambu finished a fast break with a shot from outside the box in the 22nd.

Guilherme answered in the 24th minute from a Lawrence Ennali assist. Mateusz Bogusz drew Houston level at 2-2 in the 33rd, and Guilherme scored again in the 37th, a volley from outside the box, for a 3-2 halftime lead.

Gabriel Pirani tied the match in the 86th minute, scoring from close range after a corner.

San Diego held 61 percent of possession and took 17 shots to Houston's 10. Guilherme led Houston with four shots, and goalkeeper Jonathan Bond made three saves.

Houston has 46 points (13 wins, 7 draws, 9 losses), fifth in the Western Conference. San Diego has 33 points. The Dynamo host FC Dallas on Saturday.
