Titans Start Fast, Then Stall

The Tennessee Titans scored first but could not add to that total, falling 26-3 to the Houston Texans on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026, at Nissan Stadium. Joey Slye put Tennessee ahead with a 30-yard field goal in the first period, but Houston answered with a 45-yard field goal from Ka’imi Fairbairn to make it 3-3.

Tennessee finished with three points, all from Slye’s field goal. Cam Ward completed 23 of 36 passes for 170 yards with one interception. Tony Pollard carried 14 times for 52 yards, while Wan’Dale Robinson caught six passes for 53 yards.

Fairbairn Builds Houston’s Lead

Fairbairn made three field goals in the second period, from 35, 26 and 53 yards. The kicks gave Houston a 12-3 lead at halftime and accounted for all of the Texans’ second-period points. The opening period ended 3-3, and Houston outscored Tennessee 9-0 in the second.

C.J. Stroud completed 26 of 34 passes for 261 yards and one touchdown for Houston. Woody Marks rushed 15 times for 62 yards, and Xavier Hutchinson had four receptions for 65 yards.

Stroud Adds Two Touchdowns

Stroud extended Houston’s lead in the third period with a 2-yard rushing touchdown. Fairbairn’s extra point made the score 19-3, and Houston held Tennessee scoreless for the period.

In the fourth period, Stroud connected with Jaylin Noel for a 9-yard touchdown pass. Fairbairn made the kick, producing the final 26-3 margin. Houston scored 7 points in each of the final two periods, while Tennessee scored 0 in both.
