A routine traffic stop conducted by the College Station Police Department early Saturday morning resulted in a significant drug seizure and an arrest. The incident occurred just before 1:30 a.m. in the 500 block of University Drive East.
Officer Pouland initiated the stop and later requested assistance from the department’s K-9 Unit during the investigation. Sgt. Austin deployed K-9 Kato, who alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed a large quantity of illegal substances.
The items recovered included four pounds of marijuana, more than two pounds of Adderall pills, and over 500 Xanax pills. Authorities also found more than two ounces of THC wax, over 150 THC cartridges, methamphetamine, cocaine, more than one pound of mushrooms, and over 900 LSD tabs.
The driver was identified as Bryan Carbajal Roman of Bryan. He was taken into custody at the scene and faces multiple felony charges. The charges include seven counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, and one count of possession of marijuana.
