Degallery is set to host Degart Vision, a seven-day visual arts program in the Bryan-College Station area beginning August 24. This marks the second iteration of the event, which brings together local, national, and international creators for a series of educational sessions.
The schedule features daily workshops, demonstrations, master classes, and critique opportunities. Topics include black-and-white photography, digital techniques, and photo portraiture. Participants will also engage in location shoots within downtown Bryan and at Texas A&M University parks.
Attendees include photographers from Argentina and contributors to The New York Times. One artist currently resides in St. Petersburg, Russia. Degallery owner Dary Dega will lead a session on artificial intelligence in the art industry on Monday, August 24, at 3 p.m.
Dega noted that opinions on AI technology are divided. She stated she hopes to surprise attendees during the discussion about the technology's role in photography and art.
The event opens with a free reception on the evening of Monday, August 24. No tickets or advance registration are required for this opening gathering. Registration for the full week of programming costs $35 for community members and $15 for students and faculty. The fee includes all workshops, demonstrations, and food.
