College Station police are investigating a shooting that occurred inside a local nightclub on Saturday night. The incident took place at the One15 venue, located in the 100 block of College Main Street, around 9 p.m. on September 5, 2026.
Officers from the Northgate precinct responded to calls reporting a single gunshot originating from within the establishment. Responding units moved quickly through the crowd inside the club and located the individual responsible for the discharge. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported among patrons or staff.
During the detention, police recovered one firearm from the suspect’s waistband. A subsequent search of the premises revealed a second weapon that had been misplaced prior to the shot being fired. Both firearms were collected and held as evidence for the ongoing case.
The suspect has been identified as Trey Wheeler, 19, of Tyler. He is currently in custody facing several charges related to the incident. The list includes deadly conduct for discharging a firearm, disorderly conduct involving the display or discharge of a weapon, and failure to identify by providing false information.
Wheeler also faces three counts of unlawful carry of a weapon and two additional counts for carrying a weapon in prohibited places. One charge of public intoxication is also part of the filing.
