College Station's Rotary Club is selling pizza and drink bundles on Sunday, Oct. 25, to raise money for Clothing for Kids, its project that takes local children clothes shopping before the school year and again before Christmas.

The fundraiser, called Pizza for a Purpose, is a pickup event. Orders can be collected from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Chick-fil-A lot beside Napa Flats on Texas Avenue. A $40 ticket covers one pizza (cheese, pepperoni or Margherita) and either a bottle of wine, red or white, or a 2-liter soda.

Last year the club served about 160 children. Each one got $150 to spend on clothes, which added up to roughly $24,000 in help. The club hopes to bring in more money ahead of this year's Christmas shopping trip so it can take more children.

Napa Flats is supplying the food and drinks. WoodmenLife's Texas Southeast chapter has agreed to match donations, and Burdett & Son Outdoors is handling the paperwork and transfer for a firearm prize free of charge.

Tickets are sold on Venmo at @csrotary, and tap-to-pay will be accepted at pickup. Each ticket is also entered in a His & Hers Raffle, with a rifle as one prize and a gift basket from a local salon as the other. WTAW reported the event details.
