College Station's City Council is scheduled to consider a $2,037,000 contract Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, to replace Adamson Lagoon's two existing water slides with a three-slide system.

The proposed contract with Landmark Aquatics is on the consent agenda. A $203,700 contingency would bring the amount requested for the item to $2,240,700, according to the council's agenda packet.

The work would include demolition and installation, along with a new slide-support structure, support piers, pump house, pumps and electrical components. City staff recommends approval.

The staff report says the Sept. 24 budget amendment included $3.25 million for the project in the Parkland Zone 1 Fund. Thursday's item concerns the slide purchase and construction contract; the council has yet to act on that proposal.

The city's meeting preview places the public agenda after 6 p.m. CDT at City Hall, 1101 Texas Ave. The meeting is scheduled to stream on Optimum Channel 19 and the city's online television page.
