Texas A&M University will award approximately 2,267 degrees to summer graduates during two commencement ceremonies on Saturday, Aug. 8, at Reed Arena on the College Station campus. The event is scheduled for Aug. 8, 2026, according to an announcement from the university Office of the Provost.
The day will feature two distinct ceremonies. Undergraduate degrees will be awarded at 9 a.m., followed by master’s degree and doctoral hooding ceremonies at 2 p.m. During the events, graduates will have their names called and walk the stage before returning to their seats. Diploma tubes will be provided at the ceremonies for photographs, and physical diplomas will be mailed to recipients after the event.
University officials note that commencements are a celebration of student accomplishments and that every effort is made to ensure the safety, security, and decorum of the public event. Guests are encouraged to refrain from disruptive behaviors, which may negatively impact the moment for students and their families. Clear bags are required at all commencement ceremonies at Reed Arena.
The ceremonies will be televised live by KAMU-TV and livestreamed via the KAMU website. Free parking is available in the West Campus Garage and in multiple lots near Reed Arena. Lot 102 is reserved for accessible parking, and Lot 100g is reserved for commencement special guests.
