Von Miller, who leads the NFL in active career sacks with a total of 138.5, has officially joined the Dallas Cowboys on a one-year deal. He shared the news via an Instagram post, expressing his enthusiasm with the phrase, "Hereee Weee Gooo."
Miller, originally from DeSoto, Texas, located about 25 minutes south of Dallas, has deep connections to the region, having played college football at Texas A&M. He is entering his 15th NFL season after spending the last year with the Washington Commanders, where he made 26 tackles and achieved nine sacks across 17 games.
A two-time Super Bowl champion, Miller won titles with the Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Rams. Drafted second overall in the 2011 NFL Draft, he has also played for the Buffalo Bills. Over his career, he has recorded 607 tackles, 271 quarterback hits, and 27 forced fumbles in 203 games.
His career achievements include eight Pro Bowl selections and three First Team All-Pro honors. The Cowboys will kick off their 2026 regular season against the New York Giants on September 13 in a Sunday Night Football matchup.
