A student-athlete from Crandall High School in North Texas was transported to a hospital by air after suffering an injury during practice on Wednesday, according to Crandall Independent School District (ISD).
A medical helicopter was sent to land near the baseball fields at the school to assist in the transport of the injured player. Crandall ISD shared their concerns, saying, "Our thoughts are with the student and the student's family," while asking the community to respect their privacy at this time.
The specifics of the injury and the circumstances surrounding the incident have not been made public. WFAA has reached out to the district for additional information, but further details remain unclear.
