Houston Texans wide receiver Jayden Higgins will not participate in the 2026 season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament during a joint practice on August 18, according to sources from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Higgins was expected to play a key role in the Texans' offense this year. In his absence, teammates Tank Dell and Jaylin Noel are likely to assume his responsibilities. Dell, who is recovering from a significant knee injury, had previously demonstrated strong performance, positioning him as a potential late-round fantasy pick if he returns to form.

Noel may be a consideration for deeper fantasy leagues, although he is not anticipated to be a starting player.

Further information regarding Higgins' recovery and its implications for the team's strategy has not yet been disclosed.
