Trevon Diggs, a former All-Pro cornerback with the Dallas Cowboys, has signed a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. This signing is the second cornerback acquisition for the Seahawks this week, following the addition of Terrion Arnold, who is currently facing serious legal challenges in Florida.

At 27 years old, Diggs has made a name for himself in the NFL, recording 20 interceptions and defending 63 passes. He is anticipated to compete for a role in the Seahawks' secondary, which is currently facing injury issues.

Diggs previously signed a five-year extension worth $97 million with the Cowboys in July 2023. However, he participated in just 22 out of 51 regular-season games during the following three seasons. His tenure with the Cowboys concluded after several incidents, including an unusual home accident where he reported that a television fell on him, resulting in a lengthy absence in 2025.

The Cowboys later waived Diggs after he requested to stay in the Washington, D.C. area with his family following a Christmas Day game, a request that was denied by the team. Shortly after his release, he was claimed off waivers by the Green Bay Packers.

Details regarding Diggs' specific role with the Seahawks and the team's plans for him have not yet been revealed.
