The Cowboys will be without four defensive players for their Week 3 matchup with the Ravens in Brazil. Cornerback Cobie Durant, safeties Malik Hooker and P.J. Locke, and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown each missed Dallas practices Wednesday and Thursday and will not travel to Rio de Janeiro. Dallas and Baltimore are both 1-1 this NFL season.
Durant, who joined Dallas this offseason after four seasons with the Rams, started the Cowboys’ first two games. He played 87 defensive snaps before a hamstring injury in Sunday’s win over Washington and was expected to miss multiple weeks. Hooker has been out since breaking his forearm in the season opener against the New York Giants, when he played 12 defensive snaps.
Locke replaced him against Washington, recording 31 defensive snaps before tearing the plantar fascia in his foot.
Overshown will miss his second consecutive game because of a hamstring strain suffered against New York. He started that game and had seven tackles before leaving. Jaishawn Barham is expected to take on a larger role, while second-year cornerback Shavon Revel Jr. is expected to see more playing time.
The game is scheduled for 3:25 p.m. CT at Maracanã Stadium, where Dallas is the designated home team. Sports.yahoo.com published the report.
