A football player from Crandall High School sustained injuries during practice on Wednesday and was airlifted for medical treatment. The incident occurred at the PIT in Crandall, which is located about 20 miles east of Dallas.

The Crandall Independent School District (ISD) shared information on social media regarding the helicopter landing near the baseball fields, which was necessary for the student's transport to receive advanced medical care. The district acknowledged that the sight of emergency vehicles and the helicopter might cause concern and aimed to keep families informed about the situation.
