The Brazos Valley Community Band will give a free fall concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at Bryan ISD's Performing Arts Center, KBTX reported.

Music director Dan Siegert told the station the program is meant to have something for every listener, describing the mix as "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue." The lineup includes a featured clarinet soloist, plus a brass quintet arrangement of Dolly Parton's "9 to 5."

The show is the first of two concerts the band puts on each year; the second is planned for around Christmas. The players live throughout the Brazos Valley, and Siegert said anyone who has played an instrument for at least a year is welcome to join. The band can be reached at info@bvcband.org.
