College Station Police Department confirmed Sunday that an individual has been arrested after a shooting occurred inside the One15 nightclub. The incident took place in the 100 block of College Main Street within the Northgate area.
Patrol officers responding to reports of gunfire entered the establishment and located the suspect, identified as Trey Wheeler of Tyler. Authorities stated that Wheeler was placed under arrest and a firearm was recovered from his waist. A second weapon belonging to Wheeler was also discovered inside the venue; investigators believe this second gun had been misplaced prior to the discharge.
Both firearms were collected and held as evidence. Police reported that no individuals were injured in the incident.
Wheeler faces several charges related to the event, including public intoxication and failure to identify himself by providing false information to officers.
He is also charged with unlawful carry of a weapon for each firearm involved, unlawful carry of a weapon in prohibited places for each gun, deadly conduct involving the discharge of a firearm, and disorderly conduct involving the display or discharge of a firearm.
