Texas A&M volleyball sweeps Mississippi State for sixth straight win

The Aggies won in straight sets at Reed Arena on Oct. 4, improving to 10–5 overall and 3–0 in SEC play before a trip to Oklahoma.

No. 14 Texas A&M swept Mississippi State on Sunday, Oct. 4, at Reed Arena, extending its winning streak to six matches and staying unbeaten in Southeastern Conference play.

The Aggies won 25-22, 25-20, 28-26 to improve to 10-5 overall and 3-0 in the SEC. Mississippi State dropped to 11-3 and 1-2 in conference play. The result was A&M’s fourth consecutive straight-set victory.

A&M recovered from an 18-15 deficit in the opening set, then held off two Mississippi State set points in the third to finish the match. The Aggies totaled 46 kills, 51 digs and eight service aces, according to the official box score.

Texas A&M next travels to Oklahoma for a Wednesday, Oct. 7, match at McCasland Field House. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m., with coverage on SEC Network.
