The Downtown Bryan Historic District has received official recognition by being added to the National Register of Historic Places. The Texas Historical Commission assisted in the process leading to this designation.
In related local developments, Doug French, a business owner, is currently renovating a historic corner property in downtown Bryan. The building previously housed a clothing store operated by French’s great-great-grandfather during the 1920s.
College Station ISD is scheduled to host an Auxiliary Job Fair on Tuesday, Feb. 17. The event will allow attendees to speak with department directors, submit applications, and participate in interviews.
A proposed strategic plan spanning three to five years is awaiting city approval this summer. The plan includes adding specialized staff positions to improve coordination with Texas A&M University.
The College Station ISD Education Foundation held its 18th annual 50 Men Who Can Cook event on Feb. 6 at the Brazos County Expo. The event raised funds by serving a variety of food.
