The City of College Station has announced traffic adjustments for Wednesday due to utility work. The outside southbound lane of Texas Avenue will be closed from Hensel Street to University Drive between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. while crews repair a water line.
During this period, one southbound lane on Texas Avenue will remain open to traffic throughout the repair work. Additionally, Hensel Street will be fully closed from Texas Avenue to Meadowlands Street.
These roadway restrictions affect public transit routes. Texas A&M’s Bus Route 4 (Gig 'Em) will detour through North Point Crossing via Meadowlands Street during the closure period. Passengers using this route can expect minor delays.
Drivers traveling through the affected area are strongly encouraged to exercise caution, stay alert for construction crews, and allow extra time to reach their destinations.
