Texas A&M University and Buc-ee’s are expanding their merchandising partnership with a new co-branded T-shirt, building on the response to an earlier release this year. The new gray, high-performance shirt features text declaring Texas A&M and Buc-ee’s as "two Texas traditions." It becomes available Oct. 1 at 21 select Buc-ee’s locations across the state.

The apparel is also sold at the Barnes & Noble bookstore on the university’s College Station campus.

Both the new gray shirt and the original maroon-and-white version will remain for sale at the 21 selected Buc-ee’s locations and the campus bookstore through the end of the year. Shane Hinckley, chief business development officer at Texas A&M, stated that the collaboration provides a unique way for Aggies to show their pride.

"As we look ahead to celebrating Texas A&M’s 150th anniversary, this partnership highlights the incredible synergy between our university and Buc-ee’s — a bond rooted in the remarkable generosity and vision of Arch ‘Beaver’ Aplin III ’80," Hinckley said. Aplin, who opened the first Buc-ee’s in Lake Jackson in 1982, has maintained close ties to his alma mater.

He recently gave $60 million for the Aplin Center, which is under construction on the main campus.

More merchandise is planned as the university approaches its 150th anniversary. In November, Texas A&M and Buc-ee’s will release a shirt celebrating the milestone. That specific item will be available only in the campus bookstore, with further details to be announced in the coming weeks.

The co-branded apparel is available at Buc-ee’s locations in Amarillo, Bastrop, Baytown, Denton, Ennis, Fort Worth, Hillsboro, Katy, Lake Jackson, Luling, Madisonville, Melissa, New Braunfels, Pearland, Royse City, San Marcos, Temple, Terrell, Texas City, Waller, and Wharton.
