Angela Stanford is returning to TCU, where she set program records, as an assistant coach for the women's golf team. She played for the Horned Frogs from 1996 through 2000 and earned All-American recognition four times, a program record that remains unmatched.
Stanford also holds TCU's school record with 10 wins. Head coach Ravaioli-Larkin said Stanford will serve as the team's third coach and that the program was thrilled to have her back. Ravaioli-Larkin pointed to Stanford's background as a major champion and her work leading the U.S. Solheim Cup team.
Stanford is from Saginaw, which is about 15 miles from Fort Worth. Her hiring followed her recent assignment as the U.S. captain at the Solheim Cup. TCU did not provide additional information about Stanford's duties with the team.
