Jonathan Bullard is projected to miss three to five weeks with a calf injury, while safety Jalen Thompson is expected to be sidelined for at least four weeks because of a hamstring problem. Bullard also missed most of training camp because of an earlier injury. Thompson could be placed on injured reserve under a designation that would allow him to return, potentially joining safety P.J.

The injuries occurred during Dallas’ loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Rio. Cornerback Shavon Revel also sustained knee and ankle issues, but coach Brian Schottenheimer said Tuesday that Revel was making good progress and might practice this week. His availability for the Week 4 game at Houston remains undecided, and the Cowboys have not said he will play.
Dallas does not expect Cobie Durant to travel to South Texas while he recovers from a hamstring injury. Malik Hooker, who fractured his forearm in the season opener, may require more time. DeMarvion Overshown, absent from the past two games with a hamstring injury, could practice this week.
The Cowboys have worked out several players, including former safety Juanyeh Thomas, as first-year defensive coordinator Christian Parker manages a depleted safety group before facing the Texans, who have not won a game.
