Dallas now has two offensive linemen on its practice squad after the Green Bay Packers agreed to sign guard Laken Tomlinson, NFL Network reporters Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported. Marcellus Johnson and Wanya Morris remain with the Cowboys.
Johnson is listed as a tackle and has not appeared in an NFL game, while Morris has played both left and right tackle during his three-year career.
Tomlinson, 34, joined Dallas earlier this month when All-Pro guard Tyler Smith went on injured reserve after thumb surgery. He did not appear in either of the Cowboys' first two games. Smith can become eligible to return after Week 4. Tomlinson's timing for his first game with Green Bay has not been established.
The Detroit Lions selected Tomlinson in the first round of the 2015 draft. He has played in 173 games and started 162 across 11 NFL seasons, including a 2021 Pro Bowl selection with the San Francisco 49ers. His other teams have included the New York Jets, Seattle Seahawks and Houston Texans, for whom he appeared in 10 games in 2025.
Last season with Houston, Tomlinson surrendered three sacks and was charged with 11 pressures. Green Bay has had offensive-line injuries, with Aaron Banks and Zach Bako-Bewele missing Week 3. Bako-Bewele will miss the rest of the season because of a torn patellar tendon.
