Houston Texans receiver Nico Collins has a chance to face the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4, while Dallas continues to manage uncertainty in its defensive backfield. ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter said Collins has a “decent chance” to return after a hamstring injury ruled him out of Houston’s Week 3 game.
Collins has appeared in one game this season, Houston’s Week 1 loss to Buffalo. He made seven receptions for 75 yards and scored a touchdown. Houston quarterback C.J. Stroud has guided the Texans to the playoffs, and the team reached the postseason last year before falling to the New England Patriots.
Dallas cornerback Cobie Durant and safeties Malik Hooker and P.J. Locke are each unavailable for the Cowboys’ Week 3 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens in Brazil. Their status for the Texans game remains unknown.
DaRon Bland and Shavon Revel are currently playing cornerback, while Caleb Downs has stepped up after joining the secondary. Dallas is giving up 218 passing yards per game, 17th in the NFL entering Week 3, and the source said the unit has more work to do.
