SMU will begin the 2027 football season against Oklahoma at AT&T Stadium before playing a nine-game ACC schedule. The Mustangs are set to host Clemson, NC State, Georgia Tech and Stanford in conference action.
Their ACC road schedule includes visits to Cal, Virginia, Boston College, Pittsburgh and Duke. The format will be used for the second consecutive season and calls for nine league games, along with at least 10 matchups against Power Four opponents each year.
Under coach Rhett Lashlee, SMU has gone 15-2 in ACC competition and remains unbeaten in conference games at Gerald J. Ford Stadium. That mark leads all ACC programs over that period. The Mustangs are scheduled to play at No. 23 Louisville this week. The ACC said dates and the complete 2027 football schedule are expected in late January.
