North Texas will begin its 2026-27 men's basketball schedule with four games at the Super Pit, starting Nov. 2 against Southwest Christian. McNeese follows Nov. 5, with Santa Clara on Nov. 11 and South Alabama on Nov. 14. McNeese and Santa Clara reached the 2025-26 NCAA Tournament, while South Alabama played in the NIT.
Overall, the schedule features three NCAA Tournament teams and two NIT teams from last season.
The Mean Green's first road game is Nov. 20 at App State in Boone, North Carolina. North Texas will then compete in the Snake Rivers Invitational in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Nov. 27-29, with Drake, North Dakota State and Boise State listed as opponents. The team returns to Texas for six more nonconference games.
Bradley visits Dec. 4, followed by Mississippi Valley State on Dec. 6. Texas State and North Texas will meet Dec. 13 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth for the Coast-to-Coast Challenge, the program's second straight appearance in the event.
North Texas will finish the schedule at home against Winthrop on Dec. 16, Bethune-Cookman on Dec. 20 and the University of the Southwest on Dec. 22. The slate was announced by North Texas and second-year coach Daniyal Robinson. The American Conference schedule is expected later.
