Jake Hummel will miss a minimum of four games after the Texans placed the linebacker on injured reserve Saturday. The move followed a groin injury he sustained during Houston's Week 1 loss to the Bills. He cannot be considered for a return to the active roster until he has missed those four games.
Hummel has not practiced since the injury. Jake Hansen is expected to remain a starting linebacker alongside Azeez Al-Shaair and Aiden Fisher while Hummel is unavailable.
