Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins remains uncertain for the Week 2 game against the Cincinnati Bengals after sitting out consecutive practices with a hamstring injury. His official status has not been determined.
Collins sustained the injury during Houston's Wednesday workout and was unavailable again Thursday and Friday. NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that the team's doctors did not consider the injury serious. Ian Rapoport also said Friday on *The Pat McAfee Show* that the hamstring issue did not appear serious, but he described Collins' absence from both practices as reducing the receiver's chances of playing.
The 27-year-old began the 2026 season with 10 targets, converting seven of them into 75 yards and a touchdown during Houston's 36-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills. He had surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in each of the prior three seasons.
ClutchPoints.com reported that Collins' availability is still unresolved and said he could potentially return for Houston's Week 3 meeting with the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 27 if he misses the Cincinnati game.
