College Station ISD trustees will meet Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026, for a workshop at 5 p.m. and a regular meeting at 7 p.m. in the CSISD Boardroom at 1812 Welsh Ave., the district said in a Sept. 9 Board of Trustees meeting notice. The meetings will be broadcast live on the district’s YouTube channel.
The Sept. 15 agenda includes a public meeting to discuss the budget and proposed tax rate. CSISD’s homepage also lists a notice of public meeting and Senate Bill 12 certification consideration among the materials posted for that night’s workshop and regular meeting.
Proposed tax rates
According to CSISD’s Notice of Public Meeting to Discuss Budget and Proposed Tax Rate, the district is proposing:
- Maintenance and operations (M&O): $0.6912 per $100 of taxable value
- Interest and sinking (I&S / school debt service): $0.2790 per $100
- Combined total: $0.9702 per $100
Last year’s rates on the same notice were $0.6963 for M&O, $0.2790 for I&S and $0.9753 total. The proposed total equals the school voter-approval rate of $0.9702 shown on the form. Under state notice language, adopting a rate above the voter-approval rate would trigger an automatic election.
Budget and property value comparisons
The notice compares the proposed budget with last year’s. It lists increases of 1.015% for maintenance and operations, 1.025% for debt service and 1.0146% for total expenditures.
