Texas A&M’s volleyball team moved up two spots to No. 12 in the AVCA-Taraflex poll released Monday, Oct. 5, giving the Aggies a higher ranking as they prepare to leave College Station for two SEC road matches.

A&M received 765 points in the poll and extended its run in the rankings to 24 consecutive weeks. The Aggies were listed at 10-5 overall, following home sweeps of Alabama on Oct. 2 and Mississippi State on Oct. 4.

The next test comes Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Oklahoma’s McCasland Field House in Norman. SEC Network is scheduled to carry the match. Both schools list a 6 p.m. start.

A&M then plays at Arkansas on Sunday, Oct. 11. The two away dates follow a stretch in which the Aggies won six straight matches and swept their last four opponents.

The poll is a new checkpoint for that run; Wednesday will test whether A&M can carry it into another conference gym.
