Job seekers across the Brazos Valley can meet 32 hiring employers in one room on Thursday, Nov. 5, when Workforce Solutions Brazos Valley holds its yearly Hiring Red, White & You! job fair.
The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Workforce Solutions office, 3991 E. 29th St. in Bryan, according to the agency's event listing. No registration is needed; it is walk-in only.
The event is built around reservists, veterans, Guard members and service members getting ready to leave the military, but it is open to anyone looking for work, Executive Director Terri Klouda said in a KBTX segment that Workforce Solutions paid for. This is the 15th year the agency has held it.
Klouda said the employers signed up so far represent more than 600 open positions, from entry-level jobs to more senior roles. Construction, manufacturing, hospitality and public safety are the four industries with the most openings, she said.
She told KBTX that growth in the region has brought in more employers, and that many of them are looking specifically for people with military experience.
