Kristen Distributing has announced plans to construct a 200,000-square-foot facility in North Bryan. The family-owned beverage distributor, which supplies national brands such as Red Bull and Heineken alongside its own Boots Beverages line, acquired nearly 57 acres of land through a partnership between the city of Bryan and Brazos County. Under the agreement, construction on the expansion must begin within 24 months.
This development is part of a broader trend of commercial growth in the region. Michael Ostrowski, Chief Development Officer for College Station, noted that the area continues to attract new businesses as the local population increases. He stated that the influx includes both industrial and retail sectors.
Javi’s, a restaurant chain based in Tyler, recently opened a location in College Station. Raul Betancourt, the restaurant director, explained that the move allows the company to expand beyond East Texas. He cited the growing city and the college student population as key factors in the decision. The new location has already hired 50 college students.
Club4 Fitness opened a new gym in Bryan three weeks ago. General Manager Cade Wilson said the location was selected for its central position between Bryan and College Station. He noted that this placement allows the business to serve both the Bryan community and the college town simultaneously.
Additional openings are scheduled for the near future. Sprouts is set to open a store on Texas Avenue on September 25, while Dave and Buster’s is planned to open at the Post Oak Mall on October 26.
