A traffic stop conducted just before 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2026, resulted in the discovery of numerous illegal drugs in College Station. The incident began when Officer Pouland initiated a routine check in the 500 block of University Drive East.
During the investigation, Officer Pouland requested backup from the College Station Police Department K-9 Unit. K-9 Sergeant Austin and his partner, K-9 Kato, arrived at the scene. The dog alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle being stopped.
Following the alert, law enforcement searched the suspect’s car and found a significant quantity of controlled substances. The items seized included four pounds of marijuana, more than two pounds of Adderall pills, and over 500 Xanax pills. Authorities also recovered more than two ounces of THC wax, 150 THC cartridges, methamphetamine, cocaine, more than one pound of mushrooms, and over 900 LSD tabs.
The driver was identified as Bryan Carbajal Roman of Bryan. He was taken into custody and charged with seven counts of manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, and one count of possession of marijuana.
