Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, and the Texas Department of Transportation are partnering to host a free car seat safety event in Bryan. The gathering is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, and will run from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Brazos Center, 3232 Briarcrest Dr.
The event aims to assist local families in ensuring the safety of their youngest passengers. Certified technicians will be available to provide free, one-on-one safety inspections and hands-on guidance for installing car seats. Additionally, free replacement car seats will be distributed to those in need, subject to availability.
Participation is open on a first-come, first-served basis, and no prior appointments are required. To ensure a proper fit, children must be present to receive a car seat. Expecting mothers in their third trimester may be eligible to receive a seat, while other pregnant mothers are welcome to bring their current seats for installation checks and guidance.
Linda McMillan, Public Communications Director, noted the long history of the program. “Since our first Car Seat Safety event nearly 20 years ago, we have conducted 2,007 car seat inspections, and we cannot wait to add to that total this year,” she said.
