Timothy Randall, a 34-year-old man from Houston, appeared in court in Bryan, Texas, facing charges of aggravated perjury and possession of child pornography. This follows his acquittal in March for a 2020 sexual assault and kidnapping case.

During the previous trial, Randall was found not guilty, but he is now indicted for allegedly providing conflicting statements while testifying. He initially claimed he had not sexually touched the woman involved but later stated that their encounter was consensual.

The defense has requested a speedy trial, aiming for October, but both sides are currently awaiting the transcript from the earlier trial. Prosecutors expressed their desire to resolve the matter before trial to prevent the survivor from having to testify again.

As of now, no official trial date has been established, and further details regarding the child pornography charge remain unclear. Prosecutors indicated that the two cases might be separated in future proceedings.
