Man Arrested After Shooting at Northgate Nightclub

A 19-year-old man from Tyler is facing eight criminal charges following an incident at a College Station nightclub where a shot was fired. Trey Wheeler was taken into custody by the College Station Police Department after officers responded to reports of gunfire at One15, located in the Northgate entertainment district.

Police say they received calls about a shot being heard inside the club on Saturday night, September 5, 2026. Officers entered the venue and located Wheeler, who was immediately detained. During the arrest, officers recovered one firearm from his waistband.

Further investigation revealed that Wheeler possessed a second weapon inside the establishment prior to the discharge. Both firearms were collected as evidence. Authorities confirmed that no injuries resulted from the incident.

Wheeler has been charged with public intoxication, two counts of unlawful carry of a weapon, two counts of unlawful carry of a weapon in prohibited places, deadly conduct for discharging a firearm, disorderly conduct for displaying or discharging a firearm, and failure to identify by providing false information.

The College Station Police Department stated that the investigation remains active. Additional details regarding the case will be made public as they become available.
