As the college football season begins, Baylor University has published its depth chart for the anticipated matchup against Auburn. The chart highlights several competitive positions as the team readies for the game in Atlanta.

A significant competition exists at wide receiver, with Jadon Porter and Dre'lon Miller both listed as co-starters for the third WR position. Miller, who transferred from Colorado, had some practice setbacks due to injury but is expected to be a valuable asset to the offense.

Porter, who recorded nine receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown last season, is also poised to be an important player, regardless of who earns the starting role.

The offensive line has largely formed as expected. Following the loss of Memphis transfer Yakiri Walker's eligibility, Koltin Sieracki will step in as the center. The starting lineup will feature Logan Moore on the left tackle, Nate Kibble at left guard, Asher Hale on the right guard, and Kaden Sieracki at right tackle, with Kaden being the only returning full-time starter.

Defensively, the depth chart raises uncertainties at nose tackle and strong safety. Hosea Wheeler, a transfer from Indiana, is competing with Jamaal Whyce Jr. for the nose tackle spot, while Jacob Redding is in a similar contest with Devin Turner at strong safety. Both Wheeler and Redding are anticipated to play crucial roles this season, although their starting status remains undecided.

Matthew Klopfenstein has been designated as the starter at tight end, surpassing Florida transfer Tony Livingston. Klopfenstein, who caught eight passes for 73 yards last season, is expected to contribute significantly in his fourth year with the program. Livingston is also likely to see action, but his specific role has yet to be determined.

The release of the depth chart offers a glimpse into Baylor's strategy as they prepare for their season opener against Auburn, although further specifics on roles and game plans have not been disclosed.
