The Dallas Cowboys have made significant contract adjustments for players Jake Ferguson, DaRon Bland, and Kenny Clark to improve their financial flexibility as they approach the 2026 NFL season. This restructuring is part of the team's broader strategy to create more salary cap space during the offseason.

Bland and Ferguson have each signed contract extensions that will keep them with the Cowboys through 2025. Bland's new four-year contract is valued at $92 million, extending his tenure with the team until 2030. Ferguson has also secured a four-year extension worth $52 million, ensuring his stay through 2030 as well.

Additionally, Kenny Clark's contract has been modified again this offseason, now extending through the 2028 season.

These changes provide the Cowboys with more options for potential roster adjustments. Team owner Jerry Jones has expressed that while he is not actively pursuing major acquisitions, the team is open to opportunities that could strengthen their lineup. Jones stated that he is optimistic about the team's potential, emphasizing that with the right circumstances, they could become a competitive force in the league.

The adjustments also positively influence their salary cap situation for the 2027 season.
