The Houston Texans are looking to bolster their pass rush and have recently evaluated defensive end Devean Deal. The undrafted free agent from TCU, who previously played with the Seattle Seahawks, recorded 176 total tackles and 13.0 sacks during his college career over two years at TCU and three seasons at Tulane.

In light of injury concerns affecting their roster, including the absence of Jadeveon Clowney and Logan Hall, the Texans are exploring various options to enhance their defensive lineup. While they recently signed linebacker Caleb Johnson, the team continues to seek additional depth.

Deal's previous stint with the Seahawks ended when he was released to accommodate new players, including undrafted rookie receivers Rashad Rochelle and Trayvon Rudolph. The Texans have also added veteran receivers Sterling Shepard and Zay Jones while placing linebacker K.C. Ossai on injured reserve. As the team prepares for the upcoming season, the situation regarding Deal remains uncertain, as he has not yet been signed.
