As the regular season approaches, the Houston Texans are running low on options for enhancing their wide receiver corps. While the team has made significant roster improvements, including the addition of Jadeveon Clowney and Mario Edwards to bolster the defensive line, they have not focused on acquiring new wide receivers. Instead, they are relying on younger talent already present on the team.

Top wide receivers like Deebo Samuel, Stefon Diggs, and Keenan Allen have recently signed with other franchises, leaving Houston with fewer prospects. Although Tyreek Hill is still a free agent, doubts regarding his recovery from a torn ACL injury make his signing unlikely.

Other available players, such as Curtis Samuel, Brandin Cooks, Tyler Lockett, and DeAndre Hopkins, are not expected to significantly enhance the Texans' current lineup.

The Texans may opt to keep their existing wide receiver group, featuring players like Nico Collins as a potential WR1 and Jayden Higgins as a possible WR2. Additionally, Jaylin Noel and Xavier Hutchinson are anticipated to contribute, along with a healthy Tank Dell. Despite not securing a major signing, the Texans' front office seems confident in their current roster.

With over $20 million in cap space, they retain the ability to make future adjustments if needed, though the chances of adding another impactful wide receiver before the season starts appear slim.
