Rangers Break Losing Streak
The Texas Rangers snapped a four-game losing streak by defeating the host Milwaukee Brewers 7-4 on Sunday at American Family Field. The victory improved the Rangers' record to 67-70, while the Brewers fell to 85-52. Attendance was recorded at 37,996 for the contest.
Scoring Sequence
Milwaukee took an early lead, scoring two runs in the first inning. Turang scored on a single by Bauers, followed by Mitchell scoring on a single by Chourio. The Rangers tied the game in the second inning when Freeman scored on a ground-rule double by Díaz.
Ezequiel Duran broke the tie in the third inning with a home run to left-center field, which traveled 410 feet. The Rangers extended their lead in the fifth inning when Duran hit a ground-rule double that scored both Langford and Seager. The Brewers narrowed the gap to 5-2 in the sixth inning when Pederson hit a 380-foot home run to right field.
Final Inning Surge
The Rangers added two more runs in the seventh inning to make it 7-2. Nimmo scored on an infield single by Burger, and Duran scored on a single by Freeman. The Brewers mounted a late rally, with Sánchez hitting a 386-foot home run to center field that also scored Chourio, ending the game at 7-4.
Pitching Performance
Tyler Alexander earned the win for the Rangers, pitching two innings without allowing a hit or an earned run while walking one batter and striking out one. He improved his record to 5-2. Adam Macko and Jakob Junis recorded saves, with Macko pitching one inning of one hit and Jakob Junis pitching one inning of one hit.
For Milwaukee, Dustin May took the loss after pitching four and one-third innings. He allowed six hits and four earned runs, walked three batters, and struck out four.
