The Houston Texans have re-signed tight end Louis Hansen, marking his return to the team after being waived in late July. This is Hansen's second tenure with the Texans, as he initially signed with them in June. His return did not require any additional roster adjustments.
Hansen went undrafted in April and has a collegiate background that includes playing at both the University of Michigan and the University of Connecticut. During his time in college, he accumulated 46 receptions totaling 463 yards and scored four touchdowns over 40 games.
The current tight end lineup for the Texans features Dalton Schultz, Foster Moreau, Marlin Klein, Cade Stover, Brevin Jordan, and Layne Pryor. Details regarding Hansen's specific role within the team are yet to be disclosed.
