The Texas Rangers returned to College Station with a 3-8 defeat against the Athletics on Saturday, August 15. The loss extends the Rangers' struggles, leaving them with a 60-63 record, while the Athletics improved to 48-74.

Early Deficit

The Rangers fell behind quickly in the first inning. A double to right by Cortes allowed Gelof, Wilson, and Soderstrom to score, giving the Athletics a 3-0 lead.
