The Houston Texans have signed cornerback Bryce Hall to enhance their roster ahead of a preseason matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. General manager Nick Caserio confirmed the signing on August 17, following Hall's workout with the team.
At 28 years old, Hall previously played for the New York Jets and most recently the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was selected in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, being the 158th pick overall. Throughout his career, Hall has participated in 40 games, starting in 26 of them.
His statistics include 122 tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery, one defensive touchdown, and half a sack. Standing at 6-foot-1, he is expected to add versatility and support to the special teams unit, which the Texans are looking to improve.
Currently, the Texans are dealing with injury issues in their secondary, affecting multiple players, such as Tank Dell and Brevin Jordan, who are unable to practice due to various injuries. Hall's signing comes at a crucial time as the team seeks to bolster their depth and experience. Additional updates regarding the Texans' roster and injury situation are expected as the preseason continues.
