Baylor football has revealed its projected offensive starters following the second week of fall camp as the team prepares for the upcoming season. The lineup is beginning to take shape ahead of their first game.
DJ Lagway is anticipated to be the starting quarterback, with coaches praising his performance since joining the team. He has expressed confidence in the offensive system designed by Jake Spavital, which may enhance his skills for a competitive Big 12 performance.
Dawson Pendergrass is expected to take on the role of starting running back after missing last season. In his first two seasons, he accumulated over 670 rushing yards and six touchdowns, showcasing his physical running style and pass-catching ability.
The wide receiver positions are likely to include Louis Brown IV and Dre'lon Miller. Brown, a transfer from Colorado State and San Diego State, is expected to serve as the primary deep threat, while Miller, a former top recruit, demonstrated versatility during his time at Colorado.
Gavin Freeman, a transfer from Oklahoma State, is projected to be the slot receiver, known for his speed and agility. At tight end, Tony Livingston joins the team after two years at Florida, bringing experience as both a blocker and pass catcher.
